The House At Riverton - Kate Morton
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale of a country house, its inhabitants above and below stairs, with a family secret remembered only by an elderly lady who had been a maid there in her youth. It did remind me a little of the TV series Downton Abbey , but to be fair it was written earlier than the programme, and it didn't suffer too much by comparison. A cosy read for a summer's afternoon or a quiet evening..
